Mark DeWitt
Postdoc
Mark DeWitt received his PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. Working in the laboratory of Ahmet Yildiz, he used advanced single-molecule fluorescent techniques to gain new insight into the stepping mechanism of the cytoskeletal motor protein cytoplasmic dynein. He joined the IGI as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2014. He became a Program Manager in 2016, and is currently working on clinical translation of a gene editing cure for sickle cell disease.
