Moritz Schlapansky
Postdoctoral Researcher
Moritz Schlapansky received his PhD in Molecular Biology from ETH Zürich in 2025, working at the intersection of genome engineering and single-cell genomics in the Corn Lab. His research focused on developing sequencing-based approaches to study how cellular context shapes genome editing outcomes at single-cell resolution. He combined CRISPR-based genome engineering, high-throughput sequencing technologies, and scalable computational pipelines to analyze large-scale multimodal genomics datasets. As a postdoctoral researcher, he builds on this work to investigate cell-type-specific genome editing outcomes across emerging editing modalities, including base editing and prime editing, with the goal of uncovering principles of genome editing, cellular heterogeneity, and DNA repair.
