Cian Schmitt-Ulms

Cian received his PhD in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT in January 2026, where he worked on large genome integration and transcriptome editing technologies with Jonathan Gootenberg and Omar Abudayyeh. In July 2026, he joined the Corn lab as a postdoctoral researcher. His research interests broadly include DNA and RNA tool development and the biology behind editing outcomes.
