Elena Zelin
Research Scientist
Elena Zelin received her PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, under the supervision of Dr. Scott K. Silverman, where she studied deoxyribozyme catalysis and RNA folding. After postdoctoral research on dynamics of transcriptional regulation as a NIH and AHA fellow with Dr. Brian C. Freeman, also at UIUC, she joined IGI team in July 2014. As a project scientist at the IGI, she employs the CRISPR/Cas9 system to study human ubiquitin and protein kinase signaling.
