Lilly van de Venn received her Master’s degree in Biology from ETH Zurich in 2017, working with Prof. Dr. Gerald Schwank on genome editing, focusing on the development of DNA barcodes harnessing the CRISPR/Cas9 system. Lilly joined the Corn Lab as a PhD student in December 2018, investigating DNA double-strand break repair after cleavage with different Cas enzymes and off-target detection. Her research interests include DNA repair mechanisms, as well as the potential use of genome editing for therapeutic purposes.
